Robin's Room

Our small and intimate Robin's room creates a home from home environment, perfect for young children who are still developing their core and not yet walking.

Supporting the development and needs of our children between the ages of 3 months to 16 months, our Robin's room is designed to support your child's physical development, personal, social and emotional development and their communication and language.

Hedgehog's Room

Once your child is able to move around, walking un aided, they will begin their transition into our Hedgehog's room.

Accommodating children between the ages of 16 months to 24 months, our Hedgehogs room has been specifically designed for accommodating our younger children providing a calm and natural environment, to ignite children's curiosity to learn and explore.

Squirrel's Room

Providing a spacious and home from home environment, our Squirrels group accommodates children between the ages of 24 to 36 months (2 years to 3 years).
We have designed our Squirrel's room with open and calming spaces, to ensure that our children are offered different experiences throughout the day and are able to constantly engaged children in their environments. We have used neutral and calming colours in our environments to enable a natural approach to learning, using our environments as a third teacher.

Badger's Room

Our Badger's group is also known as our Preschool, accommodating children between the ages of 36 months to 60 months (3 years to 5 years).
Our Badger's group are able to explore both our indoor classroom and outdoor activities throughout the day. Our spacious outdoors provides Forest School activities, with children predominantly based outdoors. At The Old School House Nurseries, we employ practitioners of an Early Years Teachers Status with experience in KS1 and primary schools, to support children's development, ensuring that children are given the best start for their transition to school.

Outdoor Space

Additional to our Outdoor Preschool, we create outdoor spaces for children as classrooms, not playgrounds!
The garden area is seen as another classroom in the nursery, it just doesn't have a roof!

Exploring and learning outdoors is an integral of a child's nursery day, as children frequently access our outdoor areas.

We'll let our photographs of our exciting outdoor areas speak for themselves...
